World Environment Day Theme for 2024 - "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience"
We are thrilled to share the details of World Environment Day Observations at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kollengode. Students organized a unique assembly that highlighted the importance of a green Earth. They showcased their understanding of environmental issues through a special mention of the significance of a plastic-free environment.
Saplings and plants were planted on the campus by students and staff. Vidyalaya also initiated a year-long campaign: "My Birthday, My Tree" to inculcate the habit of planting a tree on each student's birthday to make the Earth Greener & Brighter.
The Environment Day celebration had a profound impact on the entire Vidyalaya community. Our students gained a deeper understanding of environmental issues and pledged to take action to protect the planet. We are proud of their commitment and enthusiasm.
On this World Environment Day, let's pledge to make Earth a better place. "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Our everyday mantra for a healthier planet." "Earth is not just a planet; it is our home. Take good care of it".
