“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day”

We make the children do and believe. This is an incredibly important part of the learning process. It gives the children a chance to reflect on what they're being taught, developing their ability to question, reason, hypothesise, and debate with their fellow pupils and teachers. This then helps their reasoning, questioning and learning right the way across the curriculum.
