Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kollengode celebrated Sanskrit Day on 19 August with an array of varied programmes, with the view of reviving the glory of the Classical Language, which is famously known as the Mother of All Languages.
The programmes emphasised on the urgent need of reviving Sanskrit - The Language of Vedas, Upanishads, Epics and great ancient texts on various branches of knowledge - to its original glory.
The Key Note Speaker of the Day was Mr Rahul Radhakrishnan, Research Assistant, Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF)Shodha Sansthan. Through his Keynote address, he established the greatness of Sanskrit and inspired the students to learn and understand more about Sanskrit.
The entire event was conducted in Sanskrit, including the compering.Students presented Sanskrit Songs and dance. Sanskrit Pledge was administered.
The Exhibition held under the aegis of the Department of Sanskrit helped students to get familiar with Sanskrit .
